Extreme Rules, a night of Extreme, where the Wrestlers reach their height of Hardcore and taste their own blood…but now there are no Wrestlers no Hardcore. The Wrestlers have now become Superstars and Hardcore is become history. Now you cannot even hit you’re your opponent by anything on the face and blood…I haven’t seen a bloody match since the clash of Brock Lesnar and John Cena in 2012.
Well anyhow, let’s talk about the Extreme Rules 2014. Extreme Rules kicked off by a triple thread Elimination Match. It was Jack Swagger vs. Cesaro vs. Rob Van Dam. First Jack Swagger got Eliminated by RVD then Cesaro applied Neutralizer (his final move) at RVD on a Trash can and won. This match showed some signs of Extreme and we taught we will see more but we were wrong…..
Then there was a two on one handicap match Xavier Woods and R-Truth vs. Alexander Rusev. First Rusev beat the hell out of Xavier Woods then he fought R-Truth and won the match by his submission.
Then there was Wade Barrett vs. Big E for the Intercontinental Championship and Wade Barrett won by pin fall. Simple match no hiccups
Then there was an interesting match, Evolution vs. The Shield. The match went so well (but no Extreme) and in the end Shield beat the Evolution.
Then there was my favorite Superstar match, John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt in a Steal Cage. Cena could have won on several occasions but the member of the Wyatt family didn’t let him out of the cage. Cena fought against all odds and just when he was leaving the cage through the door lights went out and when light came back a boy was standing at the stairs singing the Bray Wyatt song “He got the whole world in his hands…and bla bla bla”. Cena was stunned and he went back in the ring and got in Sister Abigail. Bray won the match by escaping the cage through door.
Then there was the match between Paige and Tamina Snuka for the Divas Championship. Paige won the match by his submission finishing move. Now defeating Tamina, one of the toughest diva in the locker room, has made his name countable in Divas Division.
And then there was the Main Event, Daniel Bryan vs. The big red machine Kane. Now this match, this match was extreme. This match made the whole Pay per View memorable. Both beat the hell out of each other by using Chairs and Kendo Sticks. Even the fight went out to the Parking lot where they beat each other brutally. Daniel got a steel pipe and hit Kane in the face but he couldn’t get win there he has to drag him to the ring so he put him on a rack of wood and pull him up by a crane and led him to the ring then he delivered a diving head butt from the top of the crane. Then Kane got out of the ring and put Daniel through the announce table. Then he set up a table and put gasoline on it and put on the fire (it was just like we see the old ECW). But fortunately when Kane tried to chock slam Daniel though the fire table Daniel kicked him in the head and throw him on the table. Kane was on fire and after 5 seconds a security guard with fire extinguisher put out all the heat on the Kane and when Kane got in the ring again Daniel Bryan took him out by the running knee and secured his victory and titles.
All in all Extreme Rules 2014 was good enough specially the first and the last match. Now at WWE Payback a Buried Alive match is expected between Kane and Daniel Bryan. Seeing the last match of the night we could think that Attitude Era is coming back….let’s keep our fingers crossed
